Nexia Tanzania once again sponsored the Swahili Fashion Week & Awards events for this year (2019) held at Serena Hotel in Dar es Salaam. The event included a gala awards ceremony and a runway show to honour the winning designers.
As one of the largest annual fashion events in East and Central Africa, Nexia Tanzania regards the three day show as a great way to showcase its support for young aspiring fashion and accessory designers from Swahili speaking countries and beyond.
As part of its sponsorship arrangement, the Nexia firm audited the votes cast by members of the public and judges in 20 categories out of 24 categories. This comprised monitoring the online and SMS votes and presenting the final counts to the organisers when voting lines closed.
